Pandit he was widely known
For his prudence and renown

His face indeed in fulsome bloom
His eyes that speak always zoom
Day in and day out with that aim
India must gain freedom and fame

Children always his lovely dream
For him they were a glorious beam
Their winsome smiles of rare joy
He moved with them like a wayward boy

Chacha Nehru they all adore
Who wins from all, love encore
He always fills their heart with gleam
His birthday for them is an endless seam
